Living in Our Truth

We all have our war stories of struggle against the odds. Where headwinds and barriers designed to stifle our voices and dampen our powerful drives caused us sometimes to despair—to question our choices, our identity, our value, our dreams.

The BadAss Women's Network is a community that celebrates women from all walks of life who have pushed down doors, broken through glass ceilings, blasted stereotypes. They live according to their own core values rather than by those defined by others.  They have found their voices, and they are ready to share—a point of view, a process, a methodology, an action that helped them achieve their objectives.

It's taken me almost 20 years to get to this place—a place where I can think about and own the truth of my own war stories and the difficult lessons I learned.  And, now that I am here, I realize that when I encountered those tough moments, I turned to the strong, wise women in my circle who had faced similar challenges for guidance.

They did not give me any answers. Instead, they asked questions and shared their aspirations, their journeys of success and failures. In this way, they taught me...to  have courage, to persevere, to believe in something greater than me, and to activate my faith in myself to push through hardship not just for myself, but for those who would come after me.

We want to learn from such women, hear their voices, share in their truths born of struggle and triumph. Telling their stories has the power to inspire action and start meaningful conversations. We want The BadAss Women's Network to be a catalyst for introspection and a seedbed for finding and nurturing healthy relationships. I have been lifted up by all of these women. I believe in the power of their stories to encourage us to not only deal with the hellfires that are a normal part of life, but more importantly, to hold fast to the vision that each of us has the strength to be better,  do more—that is to say...Be BAD ASS.
